You have a gift. And as with all gifts, it is meant to be shared and given freely.
It may not be clear to you yet what that gift is, yet simply put… it is your passion. It is the one thing that you focus on the most, the one thing that you love to tell others about because you know that it will be beneficial to them.
Which brings us back to the giving. If you come from service, of how you can use your gift for the benefit of others, it is then truly a gift.
So… you come from service and share your gift with the world… many people will be the better for it; they will gain insights that help improve the quality of their lives. However, some may not see it that way and refuse your gift.
What makes it so worthwhile are the people who you do help. That's where your focus is. If you can make a difference in even one person's life by sharing your gift then it truly has been worthwhile. Are you going to make a difference in everyone's life? No. However, it would be a disservice to those who you do help if you hold on to your gift because of those who don't accept it.
“If you give someone a gift and they refuse it, who's gift is it anyways?” (not sure of the author)
The gift is yours to give to others who are ready to accept it.
We'd love to know…
And we'd also love it if you would share with us what you feel your gift is in the comments section below.
So many people believe that you need to have something before you can do something for others, and then become the person you'd so much like to be. However, the opposite is how it goes… you need to be the person you want to be first, which will enable you to do things for others and in turn have the things you desire in your life.
And “being” has a lot to do with sharing your gift. Being a person who lives their purpose in the service of others brings so much into your life, as well as those you touch.
The main point is that you do share your gift, your passion… whether it is sharing your knowledge of succeeding on the Internet, creating health and wellness, going green, telling amazing stories (Nelson ;)), or anything else that benefits others. It's not a competition, it's sharing…
