What’s Behind a Successful Product?

We're going to continue our discussion of products you can sell online.
Here we're going to talk about what to focus on when you're building a product and how it will fit into your overall business.
Before we get into this… we think it's really cool to get creative when putting together ideas for a product for your business. And… then experiment with your ideas to find out what works for you and your market.
But (and this is big), any product you make or promote needs to be a quality product that will help your customer. A poor quality product won't sell no matter how well you promote it.
And just like everything else in life, every product has its pros and cons. So it's always important to note what the benefits are for a potential customer BEFORE you promote it and give them the chance to consider buying it.
Why?
‘Cause at the end of the day they're gonna want to know what's in it for them.
The best way to get a clear picture of that is to ask these questions about your product:
- What is the result my customer will get?
- What problem does it solve?
- What is my customer's transformation?
And yeah, there's probably a certain way you like to experience things… do you like to read, watch videos, look at mind maps, or maybe just get a quick list of what it's all about?
Newsflash… so do the people in your market. Now, not everyone is gonna like the same format, but your market may have one format that they generally like better.
If it's a format that you can do… and one that you actually like (or don't mind) doing… then go for it. More of your market will be enticed to buy.
OK, so one last thing to consider… how does your product fit into the other parts of your business?
The 3 main parts to look at are:
Platform:
What are you going to use to build the platform to sell your product?
What social media platforms are you and your product going to show up on?
Processes:
Is this product a front end list-builder, main product, upsell or high-end product?
Once you know that, you'll understand what processes you need to create to build, promote and deliver it.
Promotion:
Plan on how your product is gonna fit into your social media strategy and how you're gonna showcase it on your website. If it doesn't make sense to your market it'll be a hard sell.
So yeah, be sure to build a quality product that actually helps the people who buy it. And then make sure it fits well and makes sense in your business.
At the end of the day… be sure to actually make it happen! You can test and tweak along the way, but action always beats inaction.
