What Do Facebook and Chocolate Have in Common?
You're a success! You have all the knowledge and tools you need to make a difference in peoples' lives… something to offer the world. Whether it's how to make a first-rate Facebook Page or homemade chocolate that is to die for, there is something you know that will help others.
All you need now is guidance on how to spread your message… the knowledge you possess that others can benefit from. So find someone with the knowledge of how to get your message out, and learn from them. You owe it to the world to spread the knowledge you have, to allow others to experience it as well.
You may not see yourself as successful. You may feel that you aren't making enough money from what you know, or that what you know is of no value to others. Look at it this way… if it's of value to you, it must be of value to someone else. As human beings, we are not that much different.
Your knowledge may not directly bring you millions of dollars… but it can lead to other things which may… and in any case, if you can help one person it is a success.
Success depends on your perspective. Look for and find the successes in your life, and celebrate them. By focusing on your successes, you'll be sure to create more.

Theuns,
Yes, learn from others… and use that knowledge to get our own message out to the world.
Thanks!

My first thought was… They’re both addicting!
You make a good point. No matter what you learn it’s awesome to share it, even if it’s been shared 100’s times, it hasn’t been put into your words. That’s why there’s so many authors on the same subject. Everyone shares different experiences and puts their own spin on things.
You two rock!

Pat and Lorna,
Thanks for the reminder that what I have to say is valuable and that somebody, somewhere, can benefit from hearing or reading my words. That inspires me to keep writing and sharing my thoughts and experiences. I am currently involved in an ezinearticles.com challenge, 100 articles in 100 days. So this is more challenging than create one or two blog posts in a given week, but it is forcing me to write freely about what I know. I love your suggestion to learn from others who know how and can assist you to spread your word.
Warmly,
Erica

Erica,
It is so easy to feel we have little value to offer the world. It seems because we do what we do so often, it doesn’t seem so special to us… especially if we see others doing the same thing (only we see them as doing it better). We all have unique gifts… and no one can send it to the world quite the same as we do.
Thanks!

Hi Pat and Lorna,
First of all, I think you are much cooler than Jimmy Kimmel !!
Secondly, thanks for sharing this inspirational post. Everyone has some value that they can add to enrich the lives of others. Even if they are not aware of that knowledge, it is there waiting to be released. Each of us holds the key to releasing that inner knowledge and with the right mentorship and guidance, we can find the best way to express it.
I look forward to reading many more of your great posts…

Marc,
So often we don’t see our own value, but it is there to be shared with the world.
Thanks,

Well, I like both Facebook and chocolate, so that ‘s for starters 🙂
They are both sociable
I remember once as a candy magazine editor going to a trade show in Germany where every vendor was trying to prove his chocolate was the best.
Hmmm, let me make a comparison to Facebook . . . hmmmm
The best I can do is say that I tried all the chocolates then, and I’m trying all of Facebook’s offerings now.

Hi Pat and Lorna. Your title caught my eye right away. I’m a chocolate addict. I know I know something that other people need and want to know. I appreciate your saying that if you help one person along the way, you have had success. It can be hard to remember that when you are busy looking at the bottom line. Thanks for sharing.
Wishing you a song in your heart,
Miss Leslie

Leslie,
We all need reminders once in a while that we do have something of value to share… a skill or talent that we can teach others. It’s not always so easy for us to see… but it’s surprising how many others recognize it.
Thanks,

Hey guys
It amazes me how we forget what we know and how valuable that knowledge is.
At least I do that all the time.

Well, that was short and sweet. 🙂 And to the point. I love the analogy! I also appreciate the reminder that each blog post is important, and of value if it helps even one person.
