Life is a Party! It’s All About Being Social and Getting Together
With the exception of perhaps a few rare individuals, people are social creatures. We all love to connect with other people, talk to them, find out about them, and get together with them. The challenging part for some people is… “Where do I find people I can really connect with, people with which I have something in common?”
Now, this doesn't just apply to getting together with people “live and in person”, it also applies to the online society. Would you want to sit in front of your computer day in and day out if you felt you were all alone? To just gather information and send your content out hoping someone will read it? We highly doubt it.
This is why social media is so popular and a critical part of what we spend our time doing online.
However, we still find ourselves wandering here and there to connect with like-minded individuals. There's a bit of information here, a cool group there, some interesting training over there, etc., etc.
So where do you go?
Tribes offer a great venue for meeting new people, connecting with them regularly, learning from each other, and perhaps even meeting in person. Some tribes will be created for a specific niche, others for anyone who wants to join.
The beauty of a tribe is that you actually get to know a lot of people, who they are, what they do, with the opportunity to support them and have them support you. And… you can join more than one tribe… just be sure you have the time and energy to fulfill your commitment to each one.
Does it feel like a party inside of a tribe? It sure can. If you choose to join a tribe, get involved. Do the syndication, read other people's content (even their “About” page), communicate with them and get to know who they are. You'll be surprised how quickly you can get to know so many new people and how much they'll get to know you.
Life is a party… and tribes are a great place to bring that party online!
The tribe we “PARTY” with is Tribe Syndication Association (TSA) => Check them out HERE
For those of you who have already joined a tribe, we'd love it if you could let us know in the comment section what you like most about tribes and also what your biggest challenge is about being a part of a tribe. Thanks!!

I have to agree, being part of a tribe is almost as good as being in a party atmosphere. I also get to interact with a bunch of cool people just like you!

I agree, being part of a tribe, TSA, has been so much fun. People I meet at local events are often skeptical about online acquaintances. They think it is superficial and not quite as real as in-person connections. I disagree. The people I have met online, especially in this tribe, have been authentic and fun, serious and fun-loving, writing wonderful blogs and joking at the same time. It IS like being at a party – and you can go in your pj’s and slippers.

Erica,
It is so cool when we can go to a party in our pj’s and slippers. Sometimes one just doesn’t feel like dressing up.
Relationships built online can be just as strong as one’s offline. If there is a connection it doesn’t matter how it is developed.
Thanks,

I’ve only been a member of TSA for a couple weeks now, but the people I’ve met through it that I share common interests with has been incredible. I once thought that I was one of the few people with my mindset, but I’ve been introduced to several others through TSA who are all on the same page as I, interested in entrepreneurship, business, and outside of the box thinking.
I’m have a great time getting to know the TSA members and can’t wait to see what other exciting opportunities it brings along!

HI,
We have talked before. I am part of Gavin’s team…hanging on the fringes of TSA and the Network Marketing Super Stars Tribe and thatmlmbeat.
I agree that syndication of your blog is fun and vital, otherwise why write a blog.
Look forward to more communication.
thanks,

What a wonderful way to bring it all together ~ the power of tribes! It is so great to be able to become part of an group that you share common interests and/or goals with ~ I truly believe that if you give of yourself in such a group, you will get much in return! And, as you stated, it can feel like a party rather than feeling like you all alone out there in cyberspace. Lorna & Pat, you guys really are The Coolest Couple ~ I really appreciate you & all the great info you share 😉 Christine

Christine,
There truly is power in tribes, and it really feels good to develop relationships and have a sense of belonging. And you are so right… it starts with giving.
Let’s party on!!
Thanks so much Christine,

P&L,
Great metaphor, and you two are certainly the life of the social media party! I have to agree though. I was completely surprised to discover that I’ve made a number of new acquaintances and a few really good friends out of social media, and I’m a pretty introverted kind of guy.
Thanks so much,
Adam

Adam,
It is quite surprising the connections we can make without actually ever really meeting someone face to face. It’s a great place to party.

It’s a party! Drunk blogging is aloud, if that is what you like. BYOB. This has been really great for me. I have so enjoyed meeting everyone and I have learned so much. There is some great information within our tribe.

Nicole,
Party on! We have also enjoyed meeting so many people and learning so many new things. It’s amazing how when we all share our experiences and knowledge how much we all benefit and become closer as a “tribe”.
Thanks,

Hey Pat and Lorna,
Hope you are both well and enjoyed the webinar last night!
What plugin do you use to get your comments to be able to reply under each comment rather than just at the bottom.
I’ve tried before but couldn’t get it to work with Semiologic.
Drop me a quick Facebook message or email me on my blog, or comment to let me know and I will install it.
Thanks again,
Gavin Mountford

Hey Gavin,
The TSA webinar was good. You all did a great job!
We did a quick video walking through what thread comments are. We also show how to turn them on if your theme supports thread comments and what plugin we use on this theme to have thread comments working for us.
You can watch the video here => http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SNryePkSps
Thanks,
