Dynamic Information Map of Alex Mandossian's 2010 Slow-Read Book List

Our friend and mentor Alex Mandossian has put a post on his blog with a list of his 33 slow-read books for 2010.
So what is a slow-read book? It is those books you find yourself reviewing and re-reading again and again and again and again … for new insights, discoveries, and lessons.
We found the post and the list of books to be quite interesting, but found that there was some information on the books and the authors he didn't cover that could be quite useful to us and to others.
So… we created a Dynamic Information Map of Alex's list in which we included the titles and sub-titles of the books, the authors, any Wikipedia information we could find on the books or authors, as well as links to the books in Amazon to make purchasing the book a very simple exercise.
Have a look at the map, peruse around it and perhaps you may be drawn to purchasing a book or two that may be one of your slow-reads for 2010.

Connections and Relationships… And Other Things We Are Thankful For

As we sat here in the comfort of our home office, we thought about how thankful we are to have a house to live in. Others are not so fortunate… they do not have a place to call home.
So then we asked ourselves… what else do we have to be thankful for? A LOT!
We've outlined a few of the things we're thankful for in this mindmap:
So who said Thanksgiving comes around only once a year? We can be thankful (grateful) for what we have all year round. Think about and write down what you are thankful for, it's a very uplifting experience.
For us, our connections and relationships are especially important. On a daily basis we connect with so many people… in person as well as through all the wonderful social sites and technologies. Without even really being conscious about it, we are continually connecting with others.
These people teach us, support us, enable our success, bring us more joy… and basically complete us as human beings.
That is why on our blog we invite you to "Be Social With Us"! It is also the reason we organize and manage our relationships inside our knowledge maps. It is important for us to develop new relationships and to keep our established relationships alive.
It's all about relationships… how do you stay connected?

Managing Social Media, Information and Knowledge Survey
We would appreciate your input on managing social media relationships, information and knowledge.
On a daily basis you connect with new friends and followers, keep in touch with existing contacts, and are exposed to an overwhelming amount of information and knowledge. So, how do you manage all that? Does most of it end up in a black hole, never to be seen again? If you're like most people, that's exactly what happens. Then when you need it most, you can't find it.
People have told us things like:
"I don' know how to organize it all."

A Glimpse Inside Alex Mandossian's "Brain"

Information, knowledge, and connections… what Alex Mandossian is all about. The question is… how do we keep track of all of the information, knowledge and multitude of links that Alex reveals to us?
The answer… we store it in Alex's "Brain".
What we've created is a very detailed, very large, dynamic mind map (Alex's "Brain") where we manage the information and knowledge Alex has imparted on his students, as well as his relationships or contacts.
From that large dynamic mind map (or "Brain") of over 8,200 thoughts we have extracted a "Public Brain", or scaled-down version to show you how "The Brain" can help organize your thoughts and knowledge… as well as the thoughts and knowledge of those you follow.
